The Date Atelier Referral Programme
Effective from 23 October 2026
1. About the programme
The Date Atelier Referral Programme allows eligible customers to receive complimentary gifts when new friends or businesses they introduce make qualifying purchases.
The programme is operated by Yazid Haroun, trading as The Date Atelier. Contact: hello@thedateatelier.co.uk.
These terms explain how referrals qualify and how gifts are earned and claimed. Our usual terms of sale apply to purchases. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information.
2. Who can participate
Referrers must be aged 18 or over, resident in the United Kingdom, hold a genuine The Date Atelier customer account and use their own personal referral link. Participation is free. The referrer does not need to make a purchase to earn or claim a gift.
This programme is for genuine personal introductions. Our Brand Partner Programme is separate and has its own application process and terms.
3. Recording an invitation
The invited friend or business must follow your personal referral link and complete the referral registration process when creating their account. A new customer is someone who has not previously held an account or purchased from The Date Atelier. A different email address or a duplicate account does not make an existing customer new.
Each customer or business can be attributed to one referrer only. The first valid referral recorded through registration applies. An invitation cannot ordinarily be added or transferred after registration. Contact us if a technical problem prevented a genuine referral from being recorded correctly.
Reinviting someone does not restart their qualifying period, replace their referrer or make them eligible again.
4. Introducing friends
You earn one Prelude gift worth £22, with complimentary UK delivery, for every three distinct new friends who qualify.
Each friend must register through your personal link and place and pay for an eligible order within 90 days of creating their account. The minimum spend is £30 in a single order, after discounts, including applicable VAT and excluding delivery charges. Delivery and confirmation requirements also apply.
Separate orders cannot be combined. An earlier order below £30 does not prevent a later eligible order qualifying within the original 90-day period. Each friend counts once; their repeat purchases do not generate further referral credits.
Every additional group of three qualifying new friends earns another Prelude gift. Resetting the progress indicator does not remove a gift already earned.
5. Introducing businesses
You earn one gift selection worth £74, with complimentary UK delivery, for each distinct new business that qualifies.
The business must register through your link using the business referral process, be verified and approved for wholesale, and place and pay for an eligible wholesale order of at least £300 in a single order within 90 days of creating its account. The minimum is calculated after discounts, excluding VAT and delivery. Delivery and confirmation requirements also apply.
Separate orders cannot be combined. Each business can qualify once, regardless of the number of contacts or accounts it uses. Later orders do not earn another business referral gift.
You cannot refer a business you own or control. If introducing a business through your employment, you must have any permission your employer requires before accepting a personal gift.
6. Eligible purchases
A qualifying purchase must be a genuine, paid order for eligible products bought directly from The Date Atelier through the relevant retail or approved wholesale channel.
Gift card purchases, delivery charges, membership fees, complimentary gifts, replacement orders and test orders do not count towards qualifying spend. Any additional product or payment restrictions will be clearly identified before purchase.
Cancelled, fully refunded or fraudulent orders do not qualify. Orders with unresolved payment disputes remain subject to review. If an order is partly refunded, the remaining eligible value must still meet the minimum spend.
The same customer, business or purchase cannot generate both a referral reward and a Brand Partner commission.
7. When a purchase qualifies
An eligible purchase remains Pending until confirmed delivery and the confirmation period have completed. Qualification is confirmed 10 days after confirmed delivery of the complete qualifying order, provided payment and eligibility checks are complete. Dispatch or fulfilment alone is not delivery confirmation.
For split shipments, the confirmation period starts when the complete qualifying order has been delivered. A purchase placed and paid for within the 90-day period can complete delivery and confirmation after that deadline without expiring.
Missing delivery information or further review may delay confirmation. We will investigate reasonable enquiries and explain any additional information needed.
8. Referral statuses
- Pending: the customer has joined but has not completed all qualifying requirements, or their purchase is awaiting confirmation.
- Qualified: the qualifying requirements and confirmation checks are complete.
- Expired: no qualifying purchase was placed and paid for within the 90-day period.
Expired invitations cannot be restarted by another link. Each qualified friend contributes to one group of three and cannot be reused for a further gift.
9. Claiming and receiving gifts
Available gifts appear in your account. Choose Claim your gift and confirm a valid UK delivery address. No additional purchase or delivery payment is required.
Under this version of the programme, earned gifts and qualified referrals awaiting completion of a group of three have no separate expiry date.
Gifts are physical products, not cash or account credit. Stated gift values are retail values including applicable VAT. Delivery arrangements will be confirmed when you claim. If the advertised gift becomes unavailable, we will contact you about a suitable alternative of equal or greater retail value.
Check ingredients and allergen information before claiming. Contact us before confirming your claim if you need to discuss suitability. We cannot guarantee that an alternative will meet every dietary requirement.
10. Refunds and corrections
If an order ceases to qualify, we may correct the referral status and remove an unclaimed gift that depended on it. If a gift has already been claimed or dispatched, we will review the circumstances before taking action. We will not automatically charge your payment method.
Where a problem results from our error, a defective product or delivery failure, we will consider a fair resolution rather than automatically treating it as misuse.
The 10-day confirmation period is an administrative check. It does not remove or limit statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods.
11. Responsible participation
You must not refer yourself; create duplicate, fictitious or misleading accounts; register another person without permission; arrange artificial purchases, circular payments or planned refunds to obtain gifts; impersonate The Date Atelier; or make misleading claims about the programme.
You must not buy advertising using our name, distribute links through coupon, cashback or referral-selling services, send unsolicited marketing, use purchased contact lists, or offer undisclosed payments or incentives to obtain qualifying referrals.
Be transparent that you may receive a gift if a referral qualifies. Do not promise the invited person a gift or discount unless a separate published offer expressly provides one.
Only send an invitation by email, text or direct message where the recipient has specifically requested or agreed to receive that invitation. Do not provide us with another person's contact details without their permission.
12. Verification and misuse
We may carry out proportionate checks of identity, business eligibility, payment, delivery and compliance. If further information is needed, we will explain what is required and allow a reasonable time to respond. Do not send passwords or complete payment-card details.
We may temporarily pause a referral or gift while investigating a reasonably suspected problem. We will not withhold a gift indefinitely without explanation. Where evidence establishes fraud or a material breach, we may reject affected referrals, cancel related gifts or restrict further participation.
Where reasonably possible, we will explain our decision and give you an opportunity to request a review. Unrelated, legitimately earned gifts will not automatically be removed.
13. Privacy
We use referral information to record introductions, assess eligibility, administer gifts and prevent misuse, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
The referrer can see the invited customer's first name, or business name, and referral status. We do not display their email address, payment details, purchased items or order value to the referrer. This limited sharing is explained during registration.
Joining the programme does not automatically subscribe anyone to marketing. Marketing preferences are managed separately.
14. Changes or closure
We may make reasonable changes for operational, legal or commercial reasons. Material changes will be explained clearly before taking effect and will normally apply to invitations registered afterwards.
Valid invitations already registered retain their original qualifying period and reward conditions, including time for delivery and confirmation. Legitimately earned gifts will be honoured.
If the programme closes, we will explain how existing invitations and outstanding gifts will be handled. We will not introduce a retrospective claim deadline without reasonable notice and a fair opportunity to claim. Urgent changes required by law or genuine security or fraud risks will be limited to what is reasonably necessary.
15. Questions and legal rights
Contact hello@thedateatelier.co.uk about missing referrals, qualification or gifts. Include your account email and enough information to investigate. We may need to contact the invited customer separately to protect their privacy.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers resident elsewhere in the UK retain the mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
